If you re not bothered by that issues then you better find something cheaper or maybe buy a smaller Artisan pad (large or medium usually cheaper than XL) to try. If you re not and you are bothered buy the stitching or the smell of the rubber bases of other mouse pads then Artisan is a safe bet.

The price!!!! If you re a pro I cant tell you what to do. But the surface is indeed very consistent and kind of speedy (but not floaty ) for a control pad!!!! So beware the XSOFT reefers to the plushness and how squishy the foam and the base is and not to the texture of the pad. You will certainly feel it on your hands, I kind of regret not going for the FX Raiden that probably has a much more smooth to the touch surface (from what I read). The pad is more lightweight comared to other pads with traditional rubber bases. It dosent stick as well in deskpads thought. It sticks well on a wooden desk and you wont be able to easily readjust it or move it. I m sensitive to that matter and already own 2 pads that I almost hate using due to the rubbery smell. No weird rubber /chemical smell which was one of the main buying points for me. Artisans poron base is practically odorless. The pad lays 100% flat without any waves. Stitching of the ZeroXSoft is 99 % perfect and 100% below the surface of the pad!!!! Its not the softest one but since its sits below the surface it wont bother you.
